Staff therapist, LPC

(Pronouns: She/Her/Hers)

Iā€™m Abbie, a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults. I offer an evidence-based, integrative practice, providing a space that is safe and validating, understanding that trust, listening and encouragement are essential to the therapeutic relationship.

Prior to beginning my work at Hartman Counseling + Consulting, I worked with young adults through The Family Institute as they navigated through anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. In addition, my experiences as a mentor to adolescent girls through the BeYOUtiful Foundation, and my work with children who have experienced school-related traumas, have reinforced my commitment to supporting clients who have survived hardships beyond their control and guiding them toward personal growth. My personal style is open and always judgment free. I will meet you where you are and walk with you as you move toward your therapeutic goals.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Trent University in Ontario, Canada, with a concentration in Gender and Social Justice, and my Clinical Counseling degree at Northwestern University, specializing in counseling with children and adolescents.
